A couple of forum users have suggested we create a 'sources of supply' forum category so we can build up a library of useful contacts. Obviously the club magazine contains a listing of suppliers as the does the club website and the Scott e-newsletter, but new ones pop all the time and maybe the forum is good way of capturing these. See the following posting for an example of what's been suggested:

http://scottownersclub.org/v-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?t=1059

So what do you think - would it be useful ?

Regards,

Paul

Seems like a good idea to me ;o) It should be less "static" as members can post themselves and tell of their experiences with the suppliers etc.

To be complete, my website also has a short list of suppliers/contractors that I have used in the past with good experiences. Mainly in the Netherlands of course. You can find this in the links section.

Cheers,
Erik

Yes, I think it will be a valuable addition to the forum service. I agree with Eric that an important argument is that it will be less static than the list of suppliers etc in Yowl and on the "Sources of Supply"-list on the SOC
website. However, we must be careful to avoid giving recommendations from the club. All recommendations must be the responsibility of those who put information on the forum. Some sort of waiver should possibly be entered in connection with this new "Sources of Supply" forum category.

Cheers!

Carl

There are some FAQ, like adjusting the pilgrim pump etc.
Or if you were able to search the forum.

What do you mean Jan? You can search the forum by keyword. Or do you mean something else?

Yes, I wish I was able to search the forum by keyword, and pick all the comments on subject.

I've created the new forum - who's going to be the first to post ? We'll see how it goes and maybe change things a little if necessary,

Enjoy,
